Food tastes better outdoors

Are you planning to surprise your loved ones with a meal in a different place or going for a hike and don’t want to carry all the supplies with you or you would like just to try something different? What about a meal in the forest, or next to a 1,9 milliard years old stone, on the shore of the lake Saimaa?

We organize outdoor food for groups around the Saimaa Geopark area. 

Geofood is local food served in the Geopark area.

Salmon meal

• Salmon prepared on the open fire and seasonal vegetables fried on a pan
• Salad
• Finnish crepes and wild berry jam
• Caveman coffee or forest tea

Mushroom meal

• Forest mushroom risotto made on the open fire
• Salad
• Wildberry pie made from the berries collected in the Geopark area
• Caveman coffee or forest tea

We offer warm salmon or forest-mushrooms soups outdoor included in the winter activity packages.

Food tastes better outdoor because of slow cooking and the open fire brings new flavors. All the events are organized just in the specially designed fireplaces (on the forest fire warning time we prepare the food inside of forest hut), sustainably and based on your wishes.
